key to my heart

when i was making these, my daughter came into my studio and gasped. she couldn't believe i was cutting my treasured stash of french vintage fabrics, but then said, well, i guess why not! i figure if i use them up, it will be incentive for me to figure out a way to get back to buy more ~ see, there is a method to my madness...i think!

i told you i was on a paris kick. loving the rosy reds and faded hues in these fabrics! my whole house smells heavenly from the lavender. i love lavender and have sachets tucked in drawers everywhere, i even sleep with a little one tucked under the corner of my pillow.

my fave hand cream ~ truly fabulous! i love the scent
relax,
with lavender of course, but everything in their line is divine! even hubby's using it.

a lot of love went into making these. when i sat down and started dreaming these up, all the elements came together easily. carved mother of pearl buttons are something i'm always on the hunt for, but the tiny skeleton keys were a rare find. i think they add the perfect touch, after all every heart needs a key!

HI HEIDI!

These are charming! I will need to check out your Etsy shop!

I know how it is to part with the materials and supplies that we buy because we adore them. But, finally I made some keepsake books and dug into my treasure trove. Like you said, this means I can go buy more!!!

Hi! I am a fabricholic also so boy does it hurt sometimes to cut into treasured fabric.
Now - just in case you don't zip over to France in the next few weeks you might want to check out French General dot com. I know she stocks french fabric and she also brings back vintage items so I am betting you can find a temporary fix. Not associated with the company - just have ordered from them. They have two books also - I bought the jewelry book and can vouch its fantastic!

I love lavender!! My husband hates the scent of lavender! It seems he had a great aunt who lived in a nursing home. He had to go visit her with his mom and while there he had to endure hugs and slobbery kisses from all the lonely ladies who smelled of lavender in the nursing home; they thought he was their long lost son; so now he feels claustrophobic when he smells lavender and I can't have it around the house. -- thanks for letting me vent about that - now, I feel better :-)

And, oh, your sachets are lovely!!!
