Tiara for the Queen ~

My friend Cristina hosted a swap for Marie Antoinette Mail Art group called, Le Diademe de la Reine (Tiara for the Queen.) Lucky me, I was to create her crown; and the one thing I knew for sure was she loves blue...

Since it is Summer, she would need it to be lightweight for playing tennis, shuffling kids to all their activities, and hosting impromptu backyard water play

Ah, but there's still the everyday list to tackle; laundry, feeding the troops, and household drudgery (since the staff seems to be on holiday,) so it would need to be petite, yet still capture the eye of all who pass by

My hope is when she wears her tiara, it puts a sparkle in her eye, a spring in her step, and a smile on everyone's face

I know you'll wear it well, enjoy ~

Oooh I love love love this! I am just about to start two small canvasses for my sister in law, who is a beautician. Her salon is named: La Couronne, which is french for the Crown. I was planning to make one little canvas with music paper and the word LA (like lalalalala you see?). On the other canvas I was going to draw a crown and glue embellishments on like rhinestones, pearls etc. And now I stumble on your post!! I couldn't get better inspiration! If I 'borrow' your idea of the silver 'pipecleaners' (sorry cannot remember the right word) I'll credit you of course, but my work grows usually, I don't know where it ends yet, but your sure inspired me, thanks!

That Tiara is just amazingly beautiful. I also think it fits all the criteria.
I would wear it everywhere.
Thanks for showing us your delightful creativity.
