All over the globe people are giving and creating love to help the people of Haiti

Craft Hope was created by two big hearted moms who wanted to make a difference in the world by sharing handmade crafts with those less fortunate. I love their tag line ~spreading seeds of hope one stitch at a time. And, as if their plates were not already full, and their arms overflowing, they opened their hearts wider and created

Craft Hope for Haiti Shop Spreading seeds of hope one stitch at a time

As of this weekend they had already raised over $20,000 ~ that's a lot of hand stitched love!

Another sweet and amazing soul is Rebecca who created Haiti by Hand. Originally she created this on-line shop as a place for Haitian artisans to sell their wares to help women and children of that region, however, because of the recent devastating events she has asked artists from all over the world to join her in selling their wares to help the people of Haiti. I'm sure she cannot type fast enough to keep up with all the generous donations coming in.

Both of these efforts are donating 100% of sales to Haiti

Holding the people of Haiti in my heart ~ especially the sweet children

I have enjoyed your blog over the last week.....I just discovered it. What wonderful family and friends you have and what a lovely place you live. You have pretty much arrived to the place in you life where I would love to be....No jealousy, sweet lady, just comfort in knowing yes, it can be done. Imagine spending so many hours in beautiful thoughts, surroundings and friends. Would love talk more to you in the future....how lucky you are to hang out with such creative ladies. You always have some wonderful idea/ideas swirling in your head and it is contagious....a wonderful contagion. Thanks for allowing me to come into another world for a while. It was a wonderful trip. Husband is in Afghanistan and the children are gown so I do every craft I have ever wanted to do now. But I would love to take your classes and watch your process. Love your style!( I am in NC.) Anyway thank you for sharing yourself to those of us who are hungry for beauty and creating......Deb

Oh my Deb, what sweet things to say! I have been sick all week with a nasty head cold - not sure why I thought we might escape this winter healthy? But, your kind words were chicken soup for my weary soul, thank you!

I do hope we will meet someday - I get around (a bit!) Now "perfect," I can tell you that is something I do not even strive for, just trying to do my best. What you don't see from my photos is all the (carefully edited) imperfections! One of my friends once said my blog is like sunshine & happiness - don't ever write anything negative there...I hope I never do! When anyone visits here I hope it is a place of love & serenity ~ something I do strive for.
