Well, the weathermen sure did predict this one ~ we are snowed in! I'm happy to just stay put ~ hubby just came in after shoveling and he looks like a snowman!
There's something so inspiring about being holed up, I feel the creative energy pulling me in a million directions; creating, baking, knitting, stitching, rearranging furniture...and of course sitting by the fire sipping hot cocoa and reading some inspiring books and magazines...
I know you are wondering when am I ever going to get to the GOOD part...well, this is a bit embarrassing...I won TWO contests; one from Where Women Cook for my apron, and one for Where Women Create 12 Days of Christmas! I know, I thought I was on a roll so I played the lottery ~ didn't win!
So I'd like to share a bit of my good fortune with you my sweet readers!
I'm giving away one copy each of the latest Where Women Cook and Where Women Create magazines! All you have to do is leave a comment and answer the question:
If you could spend the day with one creative person who would it be?
I know that's a hard one, especially since there are so many! Robin Brown of Magnolia Pearl, who's featured in the latest issue of WW Create ~ just to spend a day with her, in her home, sit and eat a delish organic salad, and touch all those amazing fabrics, and study every tiny detail, would definitely make me feel like a bohemian princess for a day!
Contest closes January 18th at midnight EST, and
Winners will be announced January 19th at noon EST
Best of luck!
xo Heidi

I would pick Kecia Deveney. She is very laid back and patient. Fun to spend crafting and creating time with. Her house is a wonderland filled with all sorts of eye candy. You could spend a day looking and not see everything she has so beautifully displayed.
Wow ....i was just thinking about robin brown and her style, that is who i would choose!
thank you, love your blog!!!

Ohhhh I would love to spend the day with Robin Brown of Magnolia Pearl.
I adore her and her creations! Yes I'd love to have tea with her in her beautiful home or even her camper!
How fun just to see her wonderful clothes and to be able to touch all that lace and vintage fabrics!
A dream day for sure!
Thank you Heidi for this generous give away!
Hugs,
Dolly
I would agree - one of these days I'll get to my talented friend Kecia's house!
Happy New Year Heidi
I would actually pick Martha Stewart...
It would be amazing to go to one of her homes and learn from her and actually maybe she would cook for me as well, hey as long as I am dreaming...LOL
Keeping my fingers and toes crossed and congrats on your wonderful winning projects.
Catherine
Hi Heidi!
Of course...You! Two Heidi's for one day? What a blast!
But, other than you... I think right now I'd pick Fifi. (http://fabulousfifi.typepad.com/) You see I need some help with redoing a few rooms in our home. Fifi is just the person I'd like to hang out with for a day. I think she has such creative ideas!
I would *love* to win either of these magazines. I don't have them!
Congrats on YOUR wins!
Hugs, Heidi
knowing that today was going to storm and that schools was already cancelled and work too, I stocked up on a little fabric for a project today. BUT, dissapointingly enough- we lost power. And it comes on and off, so I don't want to haul out the machine and then have something only half done.
I know so many creative bloggers that this is a tough choice. I selected the first person that popped into my head. She is an unknown woman that will style any Anthro piece for you. She even styled from my Virtual closet for me. And I love everything that comes out of her mind.
I want want to know who she is. Sit and talk to her. Have coffee.
BTW, she provides this service to anyone that asks, Free of Charge.
I do know she is a cat lover like me.
She is the Anthropologie Connoisuer.
the Anthropologie Connoisseur
Anthro Sister Boot Love, Laura
Anthro Closet Chaos
I think I'd pick Rebecca Sower. Love her creations and her philosophy in general and think it would be lovely to have some of that rub off on me!!
Hey Laura ~ So wonderful to meet you, I appreciate all your anthro help1 And I love the Anthro Connoisseur ~ she just may be able to help me layer up! I love these blogs...the help and inspiration is endless!
Hmmm....wow, so many super talented women to choose from. I would probably pick Jenn Hayslip of Eye Candy Creations. I love her cute whimsical creations. Have a fun snow day.
Valarie
I would pick Dawn Edmondson or Karla Nathan. I love to read both of these ladies blogs and their projects are always so inspiring.
Blessings!
Christa
Chloe Rose
Hmmm...Rebecca Sower for sure and/or Robelyn of Redneck Chic. Both completely different but very special people.
It's hard to choose, but I've always loved Mary Englebreit, so I'd choose her! Suzie
I would love to spend the day with the wonderfully creative , not to mention the best Gramma , Karla Nathan. I'd love to see her home and fairy path dorkies and Sugar Wings and sit down with her and learn a new craft .
:o) Sue
I would love to spend the day with Julie Collings. I love the details of her work and the fact that most of the things she creates are tiny.
She is always a source of inspiration.
Congratulations on all of your well earned prizes.

I'd love to hang out with Karla Nathan! I've been following her blog for several years and would love to meet her and her family and hang out in her studio. Thanks for sharing your winnings!
I've scrapped with a group of 3 wonderful friends for about 7 years. Sadly for the redt of us, one of our foursome recently moved to North Carolina- I'd LOVE to scrap with her for a day... It's been too long Kandy!
I would spend the day with Rachel Ashwell! I have been a huge fan since the early 90's and I own all of her books (except one :). She is such in inspiration to me.
Thanks for the fab giveaway!
I hope you enjoyed being snowed in. :) We don't quite get that kind of snow in Dallas so I have to pretend I'm snowed in every once in a while.
I would love to spend a day crafting with someone that could teach me something new - probably stitching. Or it would be nice to spend it with someone who wanted a chance to play with paper and paint. I could take them for a whirl through my craft room.
Really spending the day with any one of the talented and passionate women I've met in the blogging world would be a thrill.
Congrats on the publications. :)
What a wonderful give a way! Congrats on your apron and the 12 days of Christmas!
I can think of several creative women, I would love to spend the day with. This is tough; I guess I would pick Becky Shander, her lacy, beeswaxed gowns were gorgeous, her love of New England and birds. I'm from that neck of the words. She has the magic ability to take the ordinary and make it extraordinary!
Thanks for this chance~
I would want to spend it with Rachel Ashwell. She has been my favorite designer for a long as I can remember.
I would love to spend the day with Wendy Addison in her studio!
I have so many favorites. This is hard to decide!
I love shabby chic!
Maybe Genevieve Gorder. She's got great taste and super ideas!
There are so many! This is not easy.
I'd have to say Jenn Hayslip or Melody Ross.
Thanks for hosting such a nice giveaway!
Hugs.
I was just looking at the Where Women Cook over the weekend and had to pass it up so I could by the Somerset Life mag.
A day with Ree Drummond would be divine! I have a feeling I'd be in stiches with her quick wit and sense of humor. She's an amazing photographer and cook and seeing how a real ranch works would also be so cool
Hands down Rebecca Sower. I've had the pleasure of taking classes with her and they were by far the best and most relaxing classes. She's just Awesome!
Goodness...what a tough decision! I would have to say Robin Brown, as well. I just L.O.V.E. her style, and even though I've read her book MANY times, I would love to spend a day with her in her home!!
Thanks for the giveaway!

This wouldn't be a hard choice for me. I don't know too awfully many bloggers, but Karin Aquire at Creative Chaos would be my first choice. She is so creative and funny! She is on the opposite side of the country from me so that is just a rainy day dream. Insstead I read her blog. What a nice giveaway!
