My New Babies ~

Daisy, Pearl & Abigail (Esperanza) ~ it's a long story...

They arrived by mail tuesday, and sadly only 3 (of 5) survived the overnight trip ~ poor babies, and one looked a bit shaky, but she had water, food & nice warm heat and she came right around ~ thank goodness!

Everyone has stopped by to meet them, and the kids and their friends are giving them lots of love

The end of April I'll add to the flock from my local Agway

...just so cute!

...and so funny, already doing their chickeny things, like the backward shuffle ~ so cute I tell ya!

They weren't so interested in co-operating for the photo shoot, but they loved the moss and the decorations. They will be the hit of our Easter gathering today!

Speaking of photo shoots ~ I'll leave you with one of my favorite photos from the wee years ~

Sweet Vintage Candy Cups ~

It's that time of year again...time for some Sweet Vintage Candy Cups
...and a giveaway!

This year I'm mixing it up a bit and making it a Swap
You may remember last years ~ here

I love this sweet woodland one, with everything just getting ready to bloom
I've been playing around with Martha's flocking ~ have you discovered it too?

This sweet frilly candy cup will be given away to a lucky winner!
Ahh, butterflies & tiny blooms ~ bring them on!

I twirled ribbon around a silver pipe cleaner for the handle ~ love how the little bits poke out, very fun!

So here's the details if you'd like to join~
1. Leave a comment here by March12th (make sure there is a way I can contact you)
2. Make a Candy Cup using any materials you wish
3. Send me a photo by March 21st
4. I will e-mail you your swap person by March 21st
5. Mail to your Swap Person by March 26th, so it will arrive in time for Easter
6. All Swappers will be entered into the Giveaway!

I'm having Photo Shop issues, as in it will not allow me to save anything I create, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to post ~ hopefully I'll figure it out soon! Maybe just as well that I focus my energies on getting ready for Art, Paperie & Pleasantries!

new spring goodies ~

did you happen to catch martha this morning? she had rob kalin, founder of ETSY fame on. it's fun to see the faces behind some of these on-line biz's, and he's a cutie! i tuned in, and then ran off to do a bunch of things, came back ... and i forgot to record it! arrrg! so i thought i'd catch it on-line...well, i think every one of the million etsy members is visiting her site, because i could not get in...i will though!

this is a festive spring basket kit, available in my shop!

also loads of ruffled crepe garlands, which you can cut and use in all your craft projects! i've draped a bunch around my studio...after i tidy up a bit ;) i'll show you ~ they're just so much fun!
