spring belle

it's that time of year again - prom season! we love a good prom around here. my son hunter tried to go to all the dances and proms at his high school each year - looks like ariana is keeping up the tradition. last night was the first - her junior, and then three more! some girls have all the luck - it's tough being so fun, and it doesn't hurt she's through and through a genuine sweetie!

these are a couple of shots from last years proms. we loved this dress - i cried when she tried it on in the store, and said "that's the one, we'll take it - oh, and how much is it?" - yikes! she tried to fall in love with a slinky gown this year, but decided it wasn't for her. she says she's more of a "cupcake" kind of girl - fine with us, although dad thought maybe she'd like a sweater!

check out these oldies! these are my old prom pictures (with my husband dean) - too funny! my junior and his senior proms. i thought he was so dreamy in that grey suit! some of you may remember gunne sax - had to have them, right!? the dress i wore to the senior prom was actually a bonus in a box my mom won at an auction for $1. it's a vintage cotton slip, it fit, and i loved it. wish i could remember what my sister jenny and i were laughing about. she was always so sweet, and still is. good times, so much joy.

Dads are like that, "here" wear this turtle neck to your prom so you don't catch cold." Yes Dad, she is growing up and to fast for most fathers. These girls are lovely!
